Slashdot consensus opposes Cleanflix decision

I was pretty surprised to read an article on Slashdot today claiming that a relative consensus of their readers (who are generally unlikely to share my political and cultural sensibilities) essentially share my take on the Cleanflix decision from the other day.

A number of the comments are quite insightful, and demonstrate that the case is about more than just “censorship” or copyright infringement. The Slashdot article does a good job presenting both points of view, and anyone who found yesterday’s discussion interesting should be sure to take a look. The issue seems complicated enough that I wouldn’t be surprised to see it go on to a higher court.
