20th Maine positions on Little Round Top
In the background is the battlefield monument to the 20th Maine, which is no doubt familiar if you’ve read Killer Angels or watched Gettysburg. Most of the fighting took place along these stone walls and down the slopes of Little Round Top the left, facing southwest.
