We’ve been pretty busy since my last post. We arrived in Phoenix severely travel-fatigued on Saturday morning.
We got some rest at the Horkavys’ before joining them for a Bible study to finalize their new church constitution that evening.
We had a great time with their church family on Sunday.
Jeremy Vandelinder, church planter to Austin, TX, presented his work in the morning service. The evening service saw a much smaller group, but we enjoyed the opportunity to hear Pastor Ryan preach.
Monday morning we took off for St. George, UT to spend a day with our friends from Elisabeth’s year teaching there.
We treasured the time we got to spend catching up with old friends and getting lots of helpful counsel.
After lunch on Tuesday, we headed off to San Diego, CA to visit with Tim and Eileen Sneeden, who are planting Metro Baptist Church this fall.
We’ve enjoyed meeting them, learning about their burden for urban ministry in San Diego, and touring the city with them. Today we got to visit Cabrillo National Monument on Point Loma, Coronado Island (across the bay from San Diego) and several other neat locations in the area.

Tomorrow we head back to Las Vegas (we passed through on the way to San Diego on Tuesday)
to visit with Stephen and Tammi Wess, who are planting Canyon Springs Baptist Church in suburban Las Vegas in November.
After spending a day with them, we will be on the last leg of our trip, back to California to spend a couple of days with the Lovegroves and Trues at Grace Bible Church of Menifee. The Trues will be planting Grace Bible Church of Rancho Cucamonga next fall.
We will be flying home on the redeye out of LAX Sunday night to Monday morning. Please pray for us as we continue to learn about these church plants, travel, and continue to seek the Lord’s will for our next step.
