Crossroad Baptist Church installed its first deacons and church officers today. Last month the first annual administration meeting was held, where the church voted in two deacons—Duane and Stephen. Today we held a Deacon Ordination ceremony.
Pastor read the Biblical qualifications for deacons and their wives (1 Timothy 3:8-13), and then he prayed over the men. It is sobering to think of this new responsibility God as entrusted to us.
